Whoever you are , whatever you are don't let the little people to tell you it doesn't matter, it does. Get involved

It may sound like the premise for a movie, but sadly - it's true

Rampyari Bai's daughter-in-law was seven months pregnant when she went into sudden labour one December night in Bhopal, Central India. Neither Rampyari's grandchild nor her daughter-in-law survived.
You see Rbobert - that night, toxic gas leaked from the Union Carbide pesticide plant, wreaking havoc and killing up to 10,000 people over three days. It remains one of the world's most devastating industrial disasters.
This was 30 years ago. But Rampyari is still seeking justice today >>
Will you stand with her?
To date, more than 20,000 people have died as a result of lethal gas exposure; hundreds of thousands more suffer on-going health complications. Rampyari herself has struggled with cancer, and now many local children are born with deformities.
Survivors of the gas leak have not received adequate compensation for their injuries and many have been driven deeper into poverty. The contaminated factory site continues to pose a major health risk to the community - and the companies involved have yet to be held to account.
Help the Bhopal community fight for what they are owed >>
Dow Chemical, Union Carbide's parent company, must accept its responsibility toward the survivors who have a right to adequate compensation, medical care and a clean and healthy environment.
Together we can get justice for Rampyari and the people of Bhopal.
Call on India's Prime Minister to clean up the site and ensure Dow Chemical is held to account >> |
