Women's Equality Day is a chance to celebrate the progress we've made and identify the gaps that remain on the path to full participation for girls and women everywhere. For example, over the last 20 years, more girls than ever have entered classrooms around the world, ready to learn. Yet despite progress in narrowing the global gender gap in primary school enrollment, too many children – particularly girls from low-income backgrounds – are not completing school.
Ensuring every girl and boy has the opportunity to access and complete a safe, quality education is essential to advancing their full participation.
