Rick Santorum, the former senator from Pennsylvania who was the runner-up for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012, said is making plans to make a second try for the White House.
Mr Santorum, 57, is working to broaden his appeal beyond his hardline stance on social issues. He positioned himself in 2012 as the champion of voters opposed to abortion rights and gay marriage.

This year, he's emphasised his eight years on the Senate Armed Services Committee and foreign policy with the rise of the Islamic State. He's also touting a message of inclusion.
He confirmed his plans to supporters in an email.
"We are not going be successful unless we have a message that talks to the people who are struggling to rise," Mr Santorum said on May 21 at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in Oklahoma.

He said he planed to release a tax and economic plan in the next few weeks to bolster manufacturing while cutting tax rates. It "gets rid of the IRS as we know it," he said.
He has chosen Penn United Technologies, a metal manufacturing plant near his childhood home of Butler County, Pennsylvania, for a formal announcement on his intentions. Santorum joins a crowded Republican field that is still forming.
Six candidates already have declared, while former New York Governor George Pataki, Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, and former Texas Governor Rick Perry could announce bids in the coming days. Others, including former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, are also preparing for the race.

ريك سانتوروم، عضو مجلس الشيوخ السابق مِنْ بينسلفانيا الذي كان المرشح الرئاسي الجمهوري المنافس في 2012، قالَ بأنه ينوي للقيام بمحاولة ثانية للبيت الأبيضِ.
السّيد سانتوروم، 57، يَعْملُ لتَوسيعة قاعدته ما وراء موقفه المتشدّدِ على القضايا الإجتماعيةِ. وَضعَ نفسه كبطل في 2012 للناخبين الذين عارضوا حقوقِ الإجهاض والزواجِ اللوطي .

هذه السَنَةِ، شدد علي وجوده ثمانية سنوات في اللجنة العسكرية التابعة لمجلس الشيوخَ والسياسة الخارجيةَ عند إرتفاعِ الدولة الإسلاميةِ. كذلك يلح الاخرين رسالة الإدراجِ.
