Electrocuted. Punched. Threatened with Death

Take action for Jerryme Corre

Dear Robert,
Bus driver Jerryme Corre was violently arrested and tortured by police officers in the Philippines, in what could be a case of mistaken identity.
Even after an official told the officers that they had arrested the wrong person, the police continued to beat, electrocute and waterboard Jerryme throughout the night.
Torture is rife in the Philippines. Failings in the justice system prevent torture cases from being thoroughly investigated or effectively prosecuted.
Five years after the Philippines Anti-Torture Act was passed, not one person has been convicted of torture.
Jerryme was eventually convicted on an unrelated charge and remains in jail two years on. By letting the Philippines know that the world is watching, we can change Jerryme’s story.
Together, we can stop torture. Take action for Jerryme now.
