Even after an official told the officers that they had arrested the wrong person, the police continued to beat, electrocute and waterboard Jerryme throughout the night. Stop this from happening to anyone else >> Torture is rife in the Philippines. Failings in the justice system prevent torture cases from being thoroughly investigated or effectively prosecuted. Five years after the Philippines Anti-Torture Act was passed, not one person has been convicted of torture.
