If you read my words, and my themes, you would notice that I
am critical of the Emir’s policy in Kuwait, and particularly the last Emir, but
few do know that I would give my life for Emir of Kuwait if he is in danger.
I say what I feel , and only I bear the consequences of my words and actions and not as has been common to be heard such words " we all give our lives to the Emir" .As a matter of fact
the last Emir who took most of my breath in criticizing him, I have become a shield for him when he visited
my cousin.
One of my distant cousin was tortured and killed in front of his family prior to the liberation of Kuwait form Saddum forces, although he turned into Sunni , but that even didn’t save him. Most of the people who were tortured or killed were from bedoon, and from Shiites community.
When Emir of Kuwait visited my family members after Kuwait liberated
to pay his respect to the family. I stood
with members of his guard, imagine Kuwait was just liberated, and it was in
turmoil.
I stood with his guards when I
was asked by a member of his guard . While I was entering the house to see the
Emir, and to criticize him, proudly I stood firm, and also to see him close.
The Emirs’ guards
trusted me, they knew me, or they wouldn’t allowed me to be that close to the
Emir of Kuwait, despite my criticism against him.
But I don’t understand why the pictures of the late Emir Jabber
are being waved in front of my face
every time I leave my house; cars pass by with Emir’s picture painted behind the
car’s window for instance. I am not like them.
Most of the people
who used to wave flags in front of
Saddum Hussein , and sing for him were the ones who hanged him. Any one knows me I am not a hypocrite, nor a
violence person like the rest. Since I
was a child I hated violence, and hypocrisy, but it is difficult to convince the world that is filled with violence, and hypocrisy.
