1. Upon Shirazi’s arrival
in Kuwait, the Shiites were living in filthy houses . To underline what Robin Wright said about the Shiites who were
living in Benied al-qar during 80’s – You can not see luxury cars, and houses in Benied al-qar as you see them in other Kuwaiti cities, and districts. .
Robin Wright described the living standard of the Shiites perfectly in Her book
called the Sacred Rage. At that time I was
living with my family in Benied al-qar. Fearing the Shiites , Emir of Kuwait , departed
Shirazi , and buried all his legacy in the Shiite community; Benied al-qar was a Shiite district, after
removing Shirazi , Emir of Kuwait relocated the Shiites
community from Benied al-qar to other districts. Emir destroyed
many Shiites historical sites, and discredit the Shiite cemetery with
Saudi Army, closing the cemetery , not allowing the Shiites to bury their dead,
only riots from the Shiites community had forced the Emir to remove the Saudi
Army around the cemetery. Whoever, Benid al-qar from the poorest district in
Kuwait has become one of the most expensive area to live in . The Emir of
Kuwait has forced the Shiites to abandon their houses, and lands, and selling
them cheap to the Kuwaiti Sunni (I believe the Sunni population is less than 1%,
but because money , oil Tabacoo companies behind them, they are the loudest-
anyone is Salafi is called Sunni - And-Turkey, Egypt for instance are not
considered Sunni- you may checkout this one- of course not from the Saudi
scholars, but in Egypt and Turky ) Hotels,
and other high buildings have been built in Benied al-qar. Since 1980’s
until now , the Shiites houses have been demolished, disgraced with American
and other western diplomats (drinking whisky-loud parties) , but mostly
from bachelors. Still. until this moment, the Shiites in Benied
al-qar are being forced to sell their houses
.Few houses left in Benied al-qar belong to the Shiites. I asked one resident ,
you still here, despite all the agony, and pain, he responded “as
soon as I am alive, I am not selling , nor moving) The Emir gives a deal to a
Shiite, a deal that he can not refuse, either he will sell his house, or he will
be surrounded by bachelors from Pakistan, Bangladesh (hundreds
live in one house- And Drunkard western diplomats-Saudis, and other Gulf Arabs
- or high construction building over his head, banging day and night until he
sells his house- Not to mention the Sunni mosques that are daily being constructed
around the Shiites mosques, hospitals, and other worshiping places .
