During 80’s, the Emir of Kuwait had managed to wipe out the existence of the Shiites. Shiites lost their business , and their sons from high position in his government were removed. With the help of Saudi Arabia (as you see in Bahrain, and Yemen today) , the Emir and the Sunni forces in Kuwait have removed each and every trace of the Shiraz family in Kuwait . Sadly, the members of the Batthy , the members of the Aytollah’s secret police had a hand on removing the legacy of the Grand Ayatollah Mohammad al-Shirazi. One of the Shirazi family, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Ibn Mahdi al-Hussaini al-Shirazi (Arabic اية الله العظمي السيد محمد بن مهدي الحسيني الشيرازي , august 31,1928-December 17, 2001), commonly known as Mohammad al-Shirazi was deported with the members of his family from Kuwait. Shrizi was an author, politician and religious leader. In 1971 he was exiled from Iraq to Lebanon by the Bathy regime .From Lebanon al-Shirazi then moved to Kuwait where he was influential in the rise of the religious freedom among the Shiites , and particularly in the district of Benied al-qar.
