Dear Robert,
Right now, the world is facing the largest refugee crisis since the end of World War II.
Refugees seeking asylum from violence and persecution are being subjected to abysmal conditions across Europe. Syrians, Afghans, Iraqis, and others have been fired on by police with tear gas and pepper spray and detained in inhumane conditions without adequate access to food or medical care. Some are being held and fed in open-air pens.
Human Rights Watch is on the front lines protecting the rights of refugees. Our advocates are applying pressure on governments to remove barriers to safe passage for these people in crisis. Our researchers are on the ground documenting abuses and amplifying the voices of people searching for a brighter tomorrow.
We need you to stand with us.
Thank you,
