U.S. Officials Are Getting Away With Torture. Demand Justice.
Dear Robert,

Some US officials would like you to believe that waterboarding, “rectal rehydration,” and days of sleep deprivation are nothing more than “enhanced interrogation techniques.” But no matter what they choose to call it—or how they try to justify it—such brutal acts amount to one undeniable truth: Torture.

And it must be stopped for good.

That’s why I need your help.

Sign the petition demanding President Obama open a criminal investigation into the illegal use of torture by senior CIA officials during the Bush administration, and help bring an end to US torture, once and for all.

The recently released Senate Intelligence Committee Report on the CIA’s use of torture confirms beyond a doubt that senior US officials engaged in torture techniques they knew were illegal.

Unless informed people like you take a stand right now, President Obama is prepared to look the other way and classify previous acts of torture as nothing but an unfortunate policy decision of the Bush administration.

Justice must be done. Help us demand it.

Please sign the petition now so that torture can never be a viable option. Period.

US torture has harmed this country’s moral standing around the world and undermined the rule of law both at home and abroad. It has severely compromised efforts to uphold human dignity and fundamental rights worldwide.

Demanding that US leaders muster the political will to prosecute officials who authorized torture is one of our greatest challenges yet. And we will not give up until justice is served.

But we can’t do it without you. Sign the petition today.

Thank you for standing with us against torture.

Sincerely,
Kenneth RothKenneth Roth Signature
